| Brilliant, pale straw colour. A refreshingly crisp and balanced wine, rich in citrus fruit flavours. The lime top-notes are followed by hints of musk, orange blossom and mandarin, which carry through into the palate. The mouth-filling, off-dry, palate is complemented by scintillating acidity, and finishes cleanly with lingering aromatics of lime and musk. Drink now for 2 years, or cellar to drink after 7 years. |

| A wine sourced from vines planted in 1982 at Barrett’s Vineyards near Drumborg. The 2009 Vintage is one of the best from a region well known for great Rieslings. The wine is made using traditional German winemaking techniques and displays a touch of residual fruit sweetness. The grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed using an airbag press with careful oxidative juice handling. Juice was transferred to tank without prior clarification. Fermentation was by indigenous yeast on partial solids. Following fermentation to leave 14g/L residual sugar, lees stirring was conducted for 30 days. The wine was settled and matured in tank on fine lees prior to bottling in May 2009. |
